“If I have RM1 million”
I'm not a good writer either. Well, this is my personal view. 1 million isn't much if you'd consider the cost of living today. I'm not a clever investor, so this is about dreams:
- Buy the cheapest new car if I don't have a car already.
- Buy the cheapest and most convenient place to stay.
- Finance my parents' health essentials like previously skipped expensive treatment, medicine, insurance etc.
- Get married (I know it's funny)
- Investment to gain more money

Regards,
Henry

If i have one million ringgit, i would......ermmm, honestly, this topic never even pass by my mind before. Let me see, if i have one million ringgit, the first thing i would do is to fire my boss and leave him deserted by passing in my resignation letter and stop working within 24 hours AND I would tell him to fuck off! When im off from the company, i would open my own StarBuck business beside his and freaking treat him how StarBuck management do its way to the top. The next thing i would do is to go to World Vision Malaysia website and sponsor a child where need is the greatest. I would fly over to meet him/her and fulfill all his/her needs. It's sad to see all the stories and the image taken by the crew, i do hope i can lend a hand, at least.....to do a little something for them.

I cant keep on writing, gotta continue my work lor...

[If I have RM 1 million, I'll sit by the road side (in Italy) and eat my spagetti, as suggested in a Hokkien song... haha...]

I'm taking a break from doing my assignments and saw this book as an essay prize!? WOW... ok, let's try. I used to dream a lot of becoming rich when I was younger, but it shrinks as I get older. No harm trying to 'pen' them here on
this blog... Dream is free, so no harm to dream it big, again. Since it is free, no harm sharing and let others be inspired (if any, hehe). At the same time, can free up my tired mind doing my assignments...

That's very kind of the organiser to share this book & give it out as a prize. I have 3 books from Robert T. Kiyosaki: RDPD; Retire Young, Retire Rich; and Cashflow Quadrants. This may well add to my collection, God willing.

RM1,000,000 in today's life is not really much, but to many people who need to survive, RM1 can mean a lot to them.

I have ever experienced before how it feels to have just RM2 notes and some coins left. I was worried if I could make it to buy a bowl of noodles which I had wanted to eat as I did not know the price at that particular eatery.

Not that I didn't have any more money left, I have some more in the bank, but at that very moment in time, I only have RM2 notes and some coins in my wallet. It made me think about those poor people or beggar whom could be worse than me, how worried would they be? Well, RM1,000,000:-

(1) Immediately appoint a trustee and write a will to legally manage this RM1,000,000 just in case I'm dead the next minute for being soooo lucky to have that RM1,000,000. Sometimes it is very scary to suddenly become so lucky, u know... Then, the followings shall be done...

(2) Keep the RM1,000,000 in fixed deposit for 5 years (auto renew annually).

(3) Annual expenditure (from Year 1 to 5) from the interests earned, only 80% will be spent, 20% remains in fixed deposit in addition to the initial RM1 mil:- From 80% of the interests, 30% for parents, 30% for myself & family, 30% for selected charitable bodies, 10% for selected rural schools/libraries. In fact, the amount may not be big, but that is so much I can do with RM1 mil... Sounds so noble? I cannot trust myself to be noble too. That's why I mentioned about trustee to do all this and once I've signed, I cannot pull back. Before I go to Item (4) below, I should have donated to at least 5 charitable bodies over that 5 years, so I don't have to worry just in case I lose everything when doing Item (4) below.

(4) From Year 6 onwards, I will dissolve my trustee. The RM1 mil in FD should have increased since I reinvest 20% of the interests earned to grow more interests. My age would have increased also, but still young. I need to go more aggresive and get someone to manage my RM1 mil investment, while the balance of it remains in FD. God willing, I would hope 25%
return on investments or more. Sounds getting greedier? But the fact is that, we cannot donate much if we are not rich. I can donate my energy and blood, but how much can I do? If I have RM10,000 every month, I can get many more people to contribute their energy and donate blood to the blood bank.

From the profits, I shall bring my parents & family to experience the Four Seasons in every marvellous
part of the world before we leave the world someday. Not just the sun & rain in Malaysia... I would like them to see the world before we all leave this world that we could only live and see once... (Big house? big cars? well, who doesn't want all this? If can, I want to have them all too... but RM1 mil is the constraint that I have now in this article. The house that I've bought now should be good enough for years to come... I hope my car can last a few more years too).

(5) I hope that initial RM1 mil can give me another RM1 mil and another RM1 mil. Ultimately, I cannot bring them with me into my coffin. The only hope is, let it be passed on for the benefits of children, more unfortunate people, whether through an established business or some other ways like what Lim Goh Tong had done... Although Genting earns a lot from casinos, the money flows, and goes back to the people...

Well, that's the beauty of DREAM. U don't have to really have RM 1 mil to begin planning and do charity... I've just done them in my dream. I always think that fortune is given by God to us as custody. If we cannot manage them and bring benefits to others, it shall be taken away and flows to others...

Never laugh at others' dreams. Because there is dream, there is hope, and hope keeps people alive and go through hard times...

I wish every RM1,000,000 dreamer here the best of luck! ;)

“If I have RM1 million”

Actually I am not a good writer at first place, so I will write whatever I wanna share if I have RM1 million in hand.

Of course as I know, RM1 million is not a big sum in today's reality but nevertheless it would be good one to spend if you know how to spend it wisely.

As old folks always say, "DONT PUT ALL YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET". This one has bring the deep meaning to me whenever I wanna do some investment. It means that the money that need to be invested must diversify or branch out to other form of investments rather than invest under one same roof. With this to say, if you are losing your money in investment, you are just lost a small amount of it. The best investment I could think of are to invest properties and mutual funds (although to some of you might not be thinking that are the best approach). Properties are appreciating each year eventhough we are into slowdown economy session.

The next thing I would do is, to channel some funds to the needy ones and to do a good will for them. As you all know, in this reality living, it is sad to say that not many of us are willing to lend our hands to help them out. Jackie Chan is the best example that we can follow. I have seen them to work very hard to earn the living - make & sell cookies, souvenirs etc.

The third things I would wanna do is to finance my family expenditures as cost of living is getting higher and higher. Even our local cars are more expensive compare to outside the world. ~Sigh~

Well, last but not least, I will all the RM1 million dreamers with best of luck.

Franko
