I always find that Chinese Mandarin as the most talk language most distorting, as the chinese population alone is abt, what, 2 billion ? That makes 1/2 of the population speaks mandarin. A better coverage of this would be how many countries speaks a particular language, and I would think russian, french or spanish might win hands down.

Ducky: Hi there, yeah I do agree with what you've said there. Basically I think the amount that was derived are mostly taken by people with native tongues, perhaps not truly official language used by them. However, for the languages you've mentioned...i've done some research through the web and came up with some compiled list. So, do check out this (http://milliondollar-pages.
Let me know if you think I am missing any in the list, or compiled wrongly.
